Credit Bureau numbers
I meant to post this yesterday to follow up on an earlier post...
It's always important to know your credit rating. Credit history, or your ability to repay a loan, is critical to so many everyday things. Here are the numbers to the 3 credit reporting agencies.
Equifax - 800-685-1111, in Georgia, call 800-548-4548
Experian - 888-397-3742
TransUnion - 800-916-8800, 800-682-7654
In Georgia, you are allowed 1 free credit report from each agency. Please make note to get your reports and review them for accuracy. If you have a discrepancy, be sure to report it to all of the agencies where the discrepancy appears. As I learned in the past, the agencies do not work together at all. Each one is separate from the other and for the sake of accuracy, time and energy, take the time to dispute potential errors correctly....the first time.
